This event is open to newcomers and participants from Part 1!

An essay is a form of literature that anyone can write. If there are some memories or events you want to commit to words, the essay is a great option. This workshop will teach you how to write an essay. If you are a beginner and this workshop seems challenging, you will be provided with a theme and together, we will consider how to craft the text. I’m looking forward to your participation!

Please note: This workshop is a Japanese-language event, but the speaker will prepare a brief English description and accept questions in English.

エッセイは、俳句などと同じく誰でもが楽しめる、一つの文芸の形です。もし、なにか書きとめておきたい自身の体験や、思い出、エピソードをお持ちであれば、エッセイの形にしておくことはおすすめです。このワークショップでは、どうやってエッセイを書くかを、お話したいと思います。難しいように感じる初心者の方には、「お題」をさしあげますので、それをどう書くかを一緒に考えてみましょう。ぜひ、ご興味あれば、ご参加お待ちしております！

Taiko is the author of many novels, including "The Building, Right?", "Happy Choice", "Shinzo Ishoku" and "LOVE & SYSTEMS". She also teaches writing at various institutions.
